Review: “Listen to your heart, follow your dreams. Never let go, and never…give up.”
Dreams of Glory by Lawrence Bear is the story of one young man’s journey to overcome adversity and prejudice in order to achieve his greatest dream. I was drawn into the book by the realistic characters, some of which you will love and others you will love to hate. There’s definitely no lack of action with detailed accounts of grueling hockey games, and downright grudge matches, as the Mohawks fight for the championship. Even if you’re not a hockey fan, the storyline is one you shouldn’t miss. Lawrence Bear sure scored a goal with this one! I give it five stars*****. Awesome!
“A wonderful journey of one young man’s dream as he embarks on a journey to find himself.” This would be the best way to describe this action packed fun novel. In the spirit of one of the greatest sports in the world, Lawrence Bear weaves a wonderful tale that takes you on a journey for love. Love of hockey, love of life, love of a girl, even love of oneself. When he sent it to me to read I was not sure if I was going to be able to connect. I am a romance writer. This novel pulled me in leaving me in the end a fan rooting for this young man and his triumphs as well as losses. I think this is a book any teenager, woman or man would be able to read and identify with in some way. You definitely want to check this book out. It is in my opinion going to be a book to read over and over again. It is very inspiring.
